A play late in the second quarter of the Packers/Colts games brought up, yet again, a question I have never been able to figure out. Why is offensive face masking allowed when it is a serious penalty if the defense does it? Once again I saw a defender with his head snapped back while the receiver continually had a hold of his face mask all the way out of bounds. The Heisman Trophy immortalizes the straight arm for runners, but I think there should be a limit to what you can do with that arm.

Whoever ref'd the game on 10-20-2008 should be fired. There were blind-man calls made on both sides. However, it did appear a bit
lopsided for the home team (NE).
My only question is this:
Where do I send my check in order to influence the outcome of my teams'next game?
What a bunch of crooks. What's happening in the NFL with regards to the referees/officiating is criminal.

There clearly have been some bad calls throughout the first half so far of the Patriots/Broncos game. The offensive pass interference call on Brandon Marshall was quite exaggerated, as there was no contact after the first 5 yards of the play by either party.
Worse, however, is the lopsideness of calls. There was a clear taunting of Cutler after he threw the interception by the player that hit him after the play. There was a referee within the immediate vicinity of the player who did nothing about it. The calling of officials throughout this year has been terrible, and when they ruin games such as this one has been ruined so far it
is entirely unacceptable.

I just watched a referee blow a call dead after two Seahawks forced a fumble at their own 3 yard line in which Josh Wilson picked up the ball and was clear of everybody to run it back for a TD. The play was reviewed and Hawks got possession but no TD. There's a huge lack of accountability of the NFL referees.

The game is not fun to watch anymore, because the officials are so bad. Looks like the games are fixed. Welcome to the NBA ahh NFL.

It must be cheap. In the Packers - Colts game, there was an illegal formation not called and eight holding calls that were missed. There is no excuse for the poor officiating. When the announcers are talking about poor officiating and missed calls, you know it is bad. I believe fines and jail would assist greatly.

the officials are extra shitty this year.
Tony Corrente's team cost Detroit the game last week.
the network showed in slow motion a pass interference tha wasn't and a fumble that wasn't.
I wonder how much the going rate to buy off a referee is?

What is with the officials this year, they are terrible. The league does nothing, therefore they are useless. I have not seen a well officiated game this year. Fines and investigations are needed.

You can already tell that the officials for the Packers - Colts are DIRTY and need to be investigated. They called two personnel fouls on the Colts and both were crap. Check the video, somebody needs to go to JAIL.
