In California today, 11/09/2009, on sports talk, it was disclosed that the head referee that had the Eagles – Cowboys game is from the same small hometown in Arkansas that Cowboys owner Jimmy Jones is from. Huuuuuum. How did that get past the NFL Head of officials. The guy own a large dairy farm there.

If you haven’t seen the Texans at the Colts, watch it! It shows the refs in total disregard for the rules, the safety of the players, and total preferential treatment for “Mr. Manning”.

“I just know a lot of guys were getting warned on one side and there were penalties on the other,” Texans right tackle Eric Winston said. “You can’t be in the neutral zone first of all. I just keep hearing, ’98 [Robert Mathis] scoot back, 98 scoot back.’ I guess if you’re doing the penalties you’re going to get called.”

There was a play where the Texans had stopped the Colts on a 3rd and three but after the whistle blew, a flag is thrown and Connor Barwin is called for offsides. WTH? After the play?? First down Colts.

The Texans are about to score and Bethea tackles Moats at the 2 and rolls him out of bounds. The ball comes out as Moats is on top of Bethea (who again is clearly out). Moats is not considered out until he touches the ground out of bounds. The ball rolls off Bethea’s arm (still sitting out of bounds) and back into play.

An Indy player picks the ball up at the goal line and steps out at the one.

The ref actually made the correct call with the ball out at the 2 yard line but after review, the refs seemed to see conclusive evidence(?) to not only reverse the call, making the ball live but also giving Peyton Manning 19 extra yards by calling a touchback (if the ball was live and advanced to the one, it was not a touchback).

I have never been a “conspiracy theorist” but the refs really worked had for the extra check this week.
