the ref calls during the steeler/viking game were so bad. That “tripping” call cost the vikings the game. There was no tripping or delay of game when they were on defense. SO sad.

i would like to file a complaint the ref(parenti) in the miami tampa bay game went to look at a play in the replay booth and the receiver clearly had posession of the football and the ref called it a fumble which to me is unacceptable so please dealwith this ref (parenti)

WOW!
One, Parenti? are you kidding me? Why don’t you do some more research and find out that his name is Corrente. Then, why don’t you look around and realize that this website has NO affiliation WHATSOEVER with the League, and it is merely a fan who created this site to discuss where officials will be assigned the coming weeks

It’s nice to have a listing of the current refs in the NFL. BUT —it would be EVEN BETTER if you also listed the numbers on their uniforms

Tom,
You can find their numbers, along with the names and numbers of their crew, on this page:

Thanks,
Mickey

Mickey,

Clete Blakeman, the FJ in Leavy’s crew, is #34, not #20.

#20 is worn by the SJ in Hochuli’s crew.

That’s impressive! I’m amazed you could find an error like that among all of those numbers. Fixed, thanks!

Here’s an article on Mike Pereira, the VP of Officiating.

He still plans on retiring at the end of the year even though the NFL hasn’t found his replacement yet. The article also mentions a couple of rule changes that might be implemented next season.

the prom queen does not need liposuction; you have a perfectgame and you let the refs snile, cataract ridden aarp members to call holding block in the back pass interference on plays where the ball isthrown in the stands bounces on the ground;, ifno one covered the receiver they would drop the ball 1/2 the time anyway; the only well ref’dgame in 2008 seasonwas nygiantsvscarolina panthers; no penalties up and the down the field great entertainment not ruined by zebras who look to call ever possible penalty. if not for double digit unemployment the game does not need refs onlt the the guywatchiong for fumbles interceptions and td calls. Imean ed hochile penalalized a victory formastion at the end of a game earlerthis year. I have thrown down the GAUNTLET and the FANS willbe heard until the league gets it through their head that no one watches the games for the refs only the players. IT STARTS NOW !!!

The calls in the Monday night game were rediculous. 9 pass interference calls?? Come on man, that crazy. Mike Pereira, needs to look at this game and talk to his refs. I am a Raven fan, but the none calls were as bad as the calls, and it really seems like the NFL Refs are out to get certain teams and the Ravens and Raiders are tops on their list. If any ref, says different, I can show tape of terrible calls made against the teams.

Thank you.

To The Referee’s That Refed The Pittsburg Raven Game. How Much Did Pittsburg Pay You To Throw This Game For Pittsburg ? I Have Been Watching Football Most Likely Longer Than Most Of You Have Been Alive.
I Have Said It Before Will Say It Again It’s Fixed. This Was The Most Obvious Throwing Of A Game That I Have Ever Witnessed.

Hey Albert,
Baltimore Lost That Game On Their Own. The Refs Did Not Lose It. Pittsburg Was Lucky That Baltimore Did Everything They Could To Give It Away.
see how annoying it is when every single word is capitalized and you can’t even spell Pittsburgh correctly?

It was heartbreaking to lose to the Arizona Cardinals on a fumble in overtime but it looked like Arizona had a hold of Aaron Rodgers facemask on that sack and subsequent fumble. Where was the call. The picture in the newspaper clearly shows it . Another blown call by an official in a playoff game.

read “powers” post in the section for playoffs/superbowl…

For the most part the refs did a descent job of calling plenties in the Green Bay Packer game except for the one they didn’t call that cost us the game. They should have called face masking on the Cards. On the front page of the Wisconsin State Journal you can see the defender having his hand/fingers on Rodgers helmet pulling it down. Then on the front page of the same paper in the sports section you can see Rodgers on the ground and the guy still has his hand on his face mask. Why was this not called? Oh and then earlier there was a helmet to helmet that should have been called and wasn’t.

Where was the review booth on the final play of the Packers/Card game? True a penalty is not reviewable, BUT there was no fumble on that play. Rogers arm was clearly going forward before getting hit. So the play must have been an incomplete pass or the tuck rule came into play. Unless the ball was caught in the air the play should have been overturned. Unfortunately the players and officials left the field immediately instead of doing their job and reviewing the play.

Ed Hochuli IS NOT a player on any team and never will be-no matter how many weights he lifts or big & strong he gets. I am so completely amazed that he is allowed to insert himself into every game he calls. His games have no continuity or flow and are almost unwatchable. I am a Carolina fan and have no interest in Phila or Dallas but as far as Im concerned Hochuli ruined thier playoff game. And the espn analysts felt the same way the following day. Im sure hes a good guy, but he needs to be retrained. LET THE PLAYERS COMPETE!!!

Watching the Cardinals/Saints game, can you say BLIND, you have the Saints literally beating the Cardinal player into the ground, and a ref watched a facemask happen and NOTHING, but yet the Cardials try a little retaliation, and OH NO FLAG FLAG FLAG, try doing a fair job REFS and stop the payoff because you know it’s happening!

I wish someone would publish a list of current NFL officials by number. A lot of times they introduce the Referee, but the other members go unnoticed. I have a few aquintences who work in the league and it would be nice to recognize them by number when I see on the screen. Thank you.

the pass interference call in overtime in the saints v minnesota game was beyond comprehension. The pass was completely uncatchable and the call turned a close game to the home field favorites.

Oh man! you refs really screwed up on the NFC championship. You guys are obviously paid off! On all 4 of our nfl accounts with the direct tv sunday ticket I just got off the phone and will not renew. Nor the NFL channel. You guys were so blind I guess by money that you couldn’t even see the game right. I would be humiliated by the way you called the vikings game. Those were blantent intentional paid CALLS. I could have called a better game than you…most importantly when you you were doing the booth reviews. I hope when the time comes for any of you to need true honesty in your personal lives that the good lord remembers what you’ve just dealt out! Because you personally don’t have anything good coming to you….Karma will come knocking and all you’ll have is your lies to defend your life….you all suck, and NO NEW ORLEANS didn’t win that game… you stole that one idiots

I am also astounded at the terrible officiating in the NFC Championship game in OT. It does make it seem the refs are getting paid off. The spot to put the Saints 4th and inches was off, it should have been a yard, a phantom pass interference on a clearly uncatchable ball, and an obvious incomplete pass/trap that set the Saints up for the field goal which should have been 50+ yards instead. How can this continue to happen?? They need to retire if they cannot see and react sharply anymore!!! The Vikings did get screwed and should be in the Superbowl with the Colts. I am sure the Colts are happy about it, the Vikings are the team that could have beat them. The Saints are going to get smeared, unless the same refs are officiating that game….good luck Colts!

marc January 26, 2010 at 10:52 pm

I am so mad .The vikings did get very bad calls, pass inter, no catch, the spot on 4th down … The nfl did not want the vikings to go to the show. I hope the nfl and the players union dont meet on the next year.. The zebras need to be fired that was the worst calls in a nfc champ game.. I love my vikings win or loose but they were screwed. Go colts.

Mike Pereira-(VP of Officiating)

LJ- Chuck Stewart (Cheffers)- Last Game Ever- Ravens @ Colts
LJ- Carl Johnson (D. Carey)- Last Game Ever- Cowboys @ Vikings

*Congrats to all of these fantastic officials for great careers with Schleyer, Stewart, and Schmitz all serving 20+ years. They all were great officials with Schleyer, Johnson and Schmitz each getting 1 super bowl on field assignment. All 4 went out strong each getting a playoff assignment. These great officials will all truly be missed. Good luck to Johnso who will take Mike Pereira spot as VP of Officiating.
