st – We have no idea yet. They usually don’t post the schedules until the week of the games, and even then it’s kind of scattered. We’ll post that info as soon as we find out.

Because of what happened in the NBA, NFL Officials only find out their schedule four weeks in advanced. At this point we are about to start PRe-season Week 3 so not even the NFL Officials know where they will be in Week 6.

It doesn’t matter if a referee lives in the city a pro team is playing in he can officiate the game if he wants to. This came into effect 3 or 4 years ago. My info comes from knowing a former referee and a current referee personally. Most of them don’t accept the game though.

Isnt it strange for crews to have their 2 off weeks before the season is even halfway over? Winters and McAullay have already had their 2 weeks off, while others have not even had 1 off week, including the pre-season.

Chuck InIndi: Yes; There are 17 crews and since preseason, one crew is off each week. As you say it’s very strange cause they usually had their weeks off more separate in the season and in the case of Ron Winter, his crew was off three weeks up this date (one in preseason and two in reg season). Remember that this season change the Vicepresident-Officiating
(now Carl Johnson and formerly Mike Pereira) and maybe we’re in front of new decisions or strategies.

Well I am new to this site, so I will try to keep it clean.
I do not know who the the Referees and or the Announcers were in the Miami /Packer game today, but I am really getting tired of the Packers getting all of the flags thrown against them . when it was Evident their was no Penalty at all. The Packers were called for Penalties that never even happened. I do realize the Ref’s cannot see everything, but they better stop being so one sided, or else they need to start getting a fine for a baddly called game. The Announcers are Just as Bad. I knew who would win the last three or four weeks just by listening to the announcers being so one sided..
    Thank You.
