      HI MIKE:
The Walt Coleman crew is the same this year (Roy Ellison U,Ed Camp HL,Mike Spanier LJ,Rick Patterson SJ, Greg Gautreaux FJ, Greg Yette BJ),; every year are many changes of officials; this year only Parry, Green and Coleman has the same crews that in 2010)

I’m also curious how they decide the makeup of crews each year. For example, U #40 Butch Hannah was with Walt Anderson for several years, then moved to a different crew last year, and is now back with Anderson. U #31 Chad Brown was with Ed Hochuli for several years and is now on Mike Carey’s crew.

The league tries to make sure that there is no more than one rookie on a given crew and also tries to balance out the quality so one crew is not made up of guys who are in the top three at their position while another has entirely bottom three guys

Trippletts crew needs to take control of that game, it’s a joke. I recall a game they did last year or th eyear before between KC and San Diego where they did the exact same thing- let the game get ridiculous to the point where Tripplette got SO flustered he messed up the clock and penalty yardage in the first half.

Officiating in the New Orleans Saints/Houston Texans game on Sunday would have been better served if the refs would have been each given a Lazy Boy Recliner, allowed to sit in one of the Suites at the SuperDome and let the TV cameramen shoot the game letting refs to only view the instant replays to make the calls. Better calls could have been made by 3 blind mice! #24 for the Texans must have been invisible (he’s fast but really…the ref didn’t turn “a” blind eye-he closed his eyes!) since they couldn’t catch him hiding a facemask offense and a few other fouls!
