  1. Walt Anderson — in Pittsburgh.

  2. Chaffers in indy

  3. who do you guys think the worst ref is? I say jeff triplette.

  4. Which official are off this week?

  5. Clete Bakeman doing Monday night game according to Brad Biggs’ twitter – http://twitter.com/#!/bradbiggs.

  6. Should say Bakeman doing Bears-Lions on Monday night.

  7. Hochuli has the seahawks at New York Giants on Oct. 9.

  8. best ref?

who do you guys think is the best ref?

    • I don’t know if there is a “best” but my top 5 would have to be: Steratore, Parry, Hochuli, McAulay, and Mike Carey. These guys have the best control of the games they officiate and seem to avoid controversy ( save Steratore and Calvin Johnson last year, but he got that call right by the book)

    • Mike Carey. Did a great job in SB 42 and never seems to have any controversial calls. Corrente, Anderson, and Leavy. Yes I know all about Seahawks/Steelers but aside from that Leavy is a very solid referee.

  9. Tony Corrente is off for week 5.
Gene Steratore will be in Gilette Stadium this weekend.

  10. Steratore has Denver/San Diego

  11. Confirmed:

    Walt Coleman has Eagles-Bills.

  12. Shane Spencer says

I hope Ron Winter gets the NYJ @ NE game…

  13. It is Thursday night 10:43pm CST, I see only 6 names for 13 games. So half the games aren’t known 72 hours before they go off, I know you guys work hard to bring us this information. But as a fan would like to know if we get a pro referee or 2nd year Blakeman, believe me I now dread 2 inexperienced referees (Cheffers & Blakeman). Too bad there isn’t an NFL minor league so when they step on field, we get experience not 2nd coming of Howdy Doody

    • This is not a good week to provide you with that information. Information can normally be provided for 5/6 of the teams with a bye this week, the exception being Cleveland. Information can normally be provided for both Tennessee and Walt Anderson, and for both Chicago and Detroit.

    • The Crews know their schedule 4 weeks out. Either you know someone on the crew or know others who might know their schedule.

  14. whose the ref for the Green Bay vs. Atlanta game?

  15. Hope we can figure out Tampa Bay-San Francisco!

Thanks for the info provided each week.

  16. Morelli has the Houston/Oakland game

  17. Just saw that on the Texans Flipcard posted on twitter.

    • Mike,

Who is the U listed in that game? Ruben Fowler left the game last week with an injury and if he is still out, they might list an U from a bye week crew as a substitute.

  18. Morelli has Oakland- Houston game. from BTFS

  19. Leavy’s Ump is listed in the Houston Game so likely that Leavy is Off this week

  20. Riveron has Bengals-Jaguars per the Cincy beat writer’s twitter feed.

    • I love that guy. Great beat writer, Joe Reedy. Very dedicated and willing to talk to / answer questions from everyday fans about his team. I remembered he provided a previous officiating crew without prompting, so asked for the heck of it.

  21. who’s doing jets@pats?

  22. Steratore in Denver

  23. Steratore is in Denver for Chargers-Broncos game

  24. I’m going to assume Leavy and Corrente are both off, based on what you guys are saying. If that’s true, here are the remaining possibilities:

    AZ/MIN — Carey Green
    TB/SF — Carey Green McAulay
NYJ/NE — Triplette Boger McAulay Winter
GB/ATL — Triplette Boger McAulay Winter

  25. Triplette’s next screw up will be on SNF. He is the WORST referee out there and cant get it through his pea sized brain to quit. He threw the penalty flag in the Cleveland player’s eye, complained about it raining during a game last year, then had no idea where the new kickoff line was.

At least a few years ago when he got in the way of a Jets player, the player slammed him down to the ground instead of twisting his ankle trying to run around him.

  26. Confirmed: Triplette has Packers-Falcons.

Thus, I am 99% sure that Boger has Jets-Patriots.

  27. Scott Green has ARIZ @ MINN

  28. Mickey, here’s a summary of all remaining assignments, now confirmed:

    Scott Green: ARI-MIN
    Jeff Triplette: GB-ATL
    Jerome Boger: NYJ-NE
    Terry McAulay: TB-SF

  29. football geed says

    mcauley has sf and tb

  30. Triplette’s first game in Atlanta since 2005

  31. Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and
Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs
and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S Apologies for
getting off-topic but I had to ask!
